Post-Christmas Home Decor Refresh

After my Christmas decor was packed away I felt like my apartment was sooo empty and bare. I put it off for a while because I am planning on moving to a house in July and it would just be one more thing that I would have to pack up and move. The bareness finally got the best of me this last weekend and I went to pretty much every chain home decor store in Brunswick. (That sounds more impressive than it is, there’s maybe 6 ๐Ÿ˜‚). The best part of it all was that JT wanted to come with me!

Tray: Target $30

Boxwood game plant: HomeGoods $30 (sorry cant link!)

Bronze too many sided object: (mine was on clearance but this one is similar) Pier1 $11

I’d been looking for one like this for a little while and I got this one on sale at HomeGoods! ๐Ÿ˜„. There are bunches of these at home decor shops and Amazon!

While I’m still looking something to go in the wire basket below my tv? I found these super cute vases that are currently on clearance!

Vases – Pier1 – $12

Basket – Target – $17

Bonus: I also got these super cute terry cloth Valentine’s Day hand towels for my kitchen! These are from HomeGoods and I cannot link them ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Happy shopping, lovelies!

Mini transitions

Hey lovelies!

As a shorter person, I wear a lot of mini skirts year round to help my tiny legs look longer. To make them more “seasonally appropriate”, I change up the rest of the outfit. I thought I’d show y’all how I style this geometric mini skirt for summer and a couple easy changes to make it fall (or winter in the South haha) appropriate.

So here is the basic outfit. It can be fancied up with heels or a different top but this is an easy brunch or hanging out look that I wear often in the summer. Below I’ve linked some similar items in this picture!

Tank: Nordstrom Rack – $10

Printed Skirts: Nordstrom Rack – $20

Vici Collection – $38

Hope’s – $36

SheIn – $17

This is the next iteration as the seasons begin to change. Again, this is an easy brunch, dinner, birthday party, what have you look.

Jean Jacket: Nordstrom – $99

Last, but certainly not least (and kinda my fave look). I love this duster and I think it’s fairly unexpected with a mini skirt but can add some warmth to a mini skirt outfit when the weather gets a little bit chilly.

Black Duster: Nordstrom Rack – $110

Nordstrom Rack – $27

How do y’all transition your summery clothes into fall?

Thanks for reading, lovelies!

Leopard Touches

Hey lovelies!

Have you heard that leopard is cool again? No longer is it for grandmas who still totally have “it”! Leopard is basically a Fall 2018 neutral. This is a lot for some gals to handle. One of my best friends said the other day “I don’t know what has to happen in my life to make me feel ok to wear leopard but I’m ready for it” ๐Ÿ˜‚. In light of this epic paradigm shift, I thought I’d show y’all how I would tip-toe into this leopard trend.

First of all, are these AMAZING leopard flats. They are a great, literally, “tip-toe” into this trend and would look great with jeans and almost any top. (Here I paired them with some black cords and this comfy green sweater for a look perfect for a Christmas party!)

Target – $20

This super cute belt is another great way to ease your way into this trend. Look this bad boy into a pair of high waisted pants and front tuck your shirt ( รก la Tan France ๐Ÿ˜) and that is a LEWK, lovely.

Loft – $40

Another way to add leopard to your repertoire is a super cute clutch. This one from Red Dress Boutique is a super cute option for a night on the town and Brunch with the girls accompanied with a fun dress.

Red Dress – $35

Alright, hear me out on this one before you stop reading. This is a super cute top and paired with some other neutral items (jeans, black booties, a black cardigan or leather jacket) and it tones down the “extraness” of this top. Also, this would look super cute under a colored corduroy jumper dress.

SheIn – $8

Hopefully, this little guide helps y’all lean into this leopard trend!

Ath-lying

Don’t let this outfit fool you, I didn’t work out all weekend.

But I did spend a bunch of time on the water with this hunk!

It wasn’t that I was super unhealthy this weekend but it just wasn’t a priority. I’m making a pledge to y’all right now that I’m going to work out 3 times this week and eat healthy all week! Maybe I’ll actually put this outfit to work this week ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Yoga pants: Nordstrom – $28-$55

Tank top: Under Armour – $30 (black & grey)

Sweater: Nordstrom – $45 (currently out of stock)

Anyone else want to try to be healthy with me this week??

FREE WINE!! ๐Ÿท๐Ÿฅ‚

Hey lovelies! If y’all have been following me for any amount of time you know that I love a good glass of wine. BUT I get pretty overwhelmed when I’m in the wine aisle. I have a general sense of what I like but oh goodness do I wish that someone else could pick things that I know I would like!

ENTER: Bright Cellars. This is a shipment of wine delivered to your door monthly! Specifically picked for you based on a super easy quiz and your ratings of previous shipments.

I got my first shipment today and I was so excited! The first wine I tried was a white blend from Santa Rosa, CA. JT tried it and he liked it so much he went back for a second glass!

I know what you’re thinking, “Kim, WHAT ABOUT THE FREE WINE?!” I hear you, and I shall deliver: use this Link and you can get 2 FREE BOTTLES of wine on your first shipment!!

Literally, it comes out to 5 bottles for $38!! That’s an awesome deal in my book!

Let me know what y’all think!! Because I’m loving this!

Hopeโ€™s Try On Session

Hey lovelies!

I recently did some shopping at this super cute boutique on Saint Simons Island that I really love. I wanted to show y’all some of the things that I really liked that I think will be great for fall!

First up, is this super cute teal sweater that I loved so much I bought it! These sleeves were so cute and I lovedddd the drama of them. This is going to look so cute over jeans with boots or with shorts while we’re still in the fall transition.

Sweater: This is us sweater – $40

(currently Pre-Order)

LOVE these sleeves!

So, I’m going to plead me culpa here. I tried this dress on and I’m so dumb, I forgot to take a picture ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ. BUT this was a super cute flirty little dress that also comes in a light teal.

My fave part of this dress was the strappy back. Even though it did make it kind of difficult to put on haha.

Leave Me Breathless Dress – $35

So this sweater was giving me some Hogwarts vibes. I felt like I had just been sorted into Gryffindor with these longgg sleeves and colors.

Sweater: Fall Festival Cutie Sweater – $39 (currently Pre-Order)

These lightweight joggers were so comfy I nearly curled up on the seat in the dressing room and started a Netflix binge ๐Ÿ˜‚.

These are the tan version because sadly this color is sold out

Kickin’ it Joggers – $36

Besides this stuff, this boutique has a TON of cute stuff online that’s not in the boutique storefront.

Let me know what y’all think!!

Summer to Fall transition

Hey lovelies!

In theory, the weather is suppose to be cooling off soon (probably not here in South GA for a while though lol). So with that in mind, I thought I’d show y’all a look that I love that easily transitions from spring/summer to fall.

This dress is one of my faves right now because it’s simple, easy, and comfy. Also super cheap! Amazon $10

I paired it with a classic jean jacket (tied at my natural waist to pull the eye to the smallest part of me) and a statement earring for color.

Jean jacket:Amazon

Earrings: Target

If the cool weather ever comes, one of the ways I’ll transition this dress to the fall is here.

These boots and I have been running around together for close to 8 years and I love them so much it hurts. I love this red sweater layered on top of this dress almost as much. Mixing a tight piece with a loose piece is a great way to change things up and feel a little bit more modest in a show-offy dress.

Boots: Nordstrom $149 (not the same but similar)

Sweater: Goodnight Macaroon $59 (not the same but a super cute alternative)

Earrings: Target

What are your favorite ways to transition items from summer to fall??
